[JAIST] How to go to Plan 3 super market (without car)

Plan 3 is a very big super market in Ishikawa.
There are a lot of foods, stuff that you may want to buy.
You can also get there by train (but it is expensive - 850 yen)
It is much easier to get there by car.

Jaist -> Tsurugi station: by jaist shuttle bus (0 yen)
Tsurugi station -> Shinnishikanazawa station: by Hokkuriku line (460 yen)
Shinnishikanazawa station -> Nishi-kanazawa station: walking 3 mins
Noshi-kanazawa -> Kanazawa station: by Hokkuriku line (190 yen)
Kanazawa station -> Hontsubata station: IR Ishikawa railway (210 yen) (towards Nanao)
Hontsubata station ->Plan 3: walking 17 mins

Plan 3 address:

Nu-3 Sho Tsubata-machi, Kahoku-gun, Ishikawa-ken 929-0327 

(Japanese: 〒929-0327 石川県河北郡津幡町字庄ヌ3)

In this post, I will show you to create Mitsui Sumitmo Visa credit card

(normal card for student)

STEP 1:

- Click this link: https://www.smbc-card.com/index.jsp

- Click the 1st button and choose the 2nd card type

- After clicking the 2nd type card as  the above picture, the following page will appear

- Then, click the button as showed below (which means that you choose a card for student)

- Click the following button for applying application:

- Then, a page to show several terms and conditions that you need to agree before applying an application. Then, click the button below:

- Then, a application form will appear:

- I will now show you step by step:

-In the below picture:

  + After typing your postal code (923-1211) -> click the yellow button on the right side 

- Then the following page will appear -> you choose the 1st one or the 2nd one

- Then click the yellow button

- For someone who is living in JAIST and cannot type Japanese, please copy the address as follows 

=> only change you room number:

Kanji: 石川県能美市旭台1-8学生寄宿舎X－YYY)

X = building

YYY = your room number

Katakana:イシカワケンノミシアサヒダイ1－８ナマクシュクシャX-YYY

- After finishing the above form, we continue to fill in the following:

In the below picture, in the final line -> if you want register this card with Hokkoku bank => you choose the 1st option (another bank)

- After you choose another bank, the below picture will appear.
- Choose the below button to search bank name

- If you are Jaist student, you may prefer Hokkoku bank.
Click the final option and paste this word: 北國銀行 (this means Hokkoku bank)
Then click the yellow button

- After clicking the yellow button, the below picture will appear to require you to input branch name:
If you are Jaist student, usually your branch name is Tatsunokuchi of Hokkoku bank
Paste the word: 辰口　支店 (Tatsunokuchi)
Then, click the yellow button

- Then the below picture will appear to require you to check again.
Then you click the yellow button to confirm

- Next the below picture will appear.
Note that in the final textbox, if your bank account has less than 7 digits, fill in '0' in the beginning to have enough 7 digits
Then click yellow button.

- The next page will be showed to require you to confirm.
Note: check your address carefully.

- Then click the yellow button in the bottom of the page:

STEP 2:

- In the below picture:

 + if you are jaist student, copy the school name in Japanese as follow:

Kanji: 北陸先端科学技術大学院大学

Katakana: ホクリクセンタンカガクギジュツダイガクインダイガク

- In the below picture, after fill in your postal code -> click the yellow button on the right side

- After clicking that button, the following page will appear, you should choose the 1st or 2nd one.

- We continue to fill in the form:

   If you are jaist student, fill in the school address as follows:

Kanji: 石川県能美市旭台1-1

Katakana: イシカワケンノミシアサヒダイ１－１

- Fill in the following picture:

- In the below picture, after choose the 2nd option -> click the yellow button

STEP 3:

- Fill in the following picture:

- For the following picture: fill in as follows:

- Then click the yellow button:

STEP 4:

Confirm everything again

STEP 5:

Finish -> copy this form:

The company then will send you an email to confirm

IMPORTANT:

After checking, the company will send you an envelop by postal mail. You need to send back the following documents:

- Copy of your passport

- Copy of your resident card

- Copy of your insurance card

- Copy of your scholarship confirmation (or some document to prove your salary, e.g Research Assistant, teacher assistant...)

- Copy of your Japanese driver licence (optional)
